Curtis Smerud has over twenty-five years of executive leadership at: American Express, Amerprise, ERA, Northland Color & President of The Smerud Group LLC. During his tenure, he has personally worked with many of the nation’s largest corporations & government organizations during their times of crisis.

Curtis stands out in the BC/DR industry due his extensive “real world” experience as a corporate "On Site" Recovery Leader for dozens of the worlds most catastrophic events. Using his “time in the trenches”, he has become one of the industry’s leading experts in successful recovery strategies. He's also developed our company’s tools for: impact analysis, assessing organizational resiliency, risk mitigation, enterprise recovery programs, as well as highly customized BC/COOP/DR planning.

A national speaker and BC/DR expert panelist, he has authored/co-authored several articles pertaining to; ‘Immunizing Organizational Portfolios’, ‘Recovery Strategies’, and ‘Product Distribution Recovery Strategies".

Graduating with honors, he holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Business from University of Wisconsin. His credentials also include: CBCP, Six Sigma Black Belt, ITIL, PMP, & Mn REB.
